“I will be needing senior photos, but when do I need to book? Where do I even start?”

I get these questions a lot! Senior year can be a lot as is, so let me take the stress out of planning your senior photos for you. As Cincinnati’s premier portrait photographer, I will be with you through every step of your full service custom photography (insert link to the page) experience.
Below are some FAQ’s you might find helpful.

My child is a junior. Is it too early to book?

Not at all! Most premier photographers stay booked months in advance, so the earlier the better when it comes down to booking. The ideal time to reach out would be January or February of your child’s junior year. Not only does this guarantee your spot on my calendar, it also allows you to have access to more availability. The closer to a desired date you reach out, the more limited my availability might be.

When is the best season for booking senior photos?

While seasons are always a personal preference, most people do choose to schedule between June and early November. This is my busiest time with seniors, so bookings tend to fill up quickly. However, there are a few things to take into consideration when choosing a date to book.
-
-Is there a specific scenery you’re hoping for? If you want floral,
and greenery, spring might be best for you. If you’re looking for
changing leaves and cozy sweaters, fall would be perfect.

- What is the deadline for your school’s senior photo submission? That
date will need to be taken into consideration when booking.

- If your child is heavily involved in extracurricular activities or has a job,
it might be helpful to make note of a few days they will have off school
or have an early dismissal. This will help us narrow down an ideal
date and time when scheduling.

- It usually takes around 3 weeks to receive your printed photos after
the final images are selected. If you need these for Christmas
gifts or before graduation, please be advised of the
turnaround time.

I am REALLY late to the game, and my child’s senior yearbook picture is due very soon. Is there anything you can do to help?

Sure can! I have a dedicated studio space available to all of my clients, so we would break the session into two parts. The first would be a headshot mini session in my studio. This would cover the photo needed for yearbook requirements. We would then schedule the outdoor photo shoot for a later time, most like in early spring when the weather warms up, but before graduation.
