Avoid clothes with busy patterns and stripes, solids are your friend.
Stick with two neutral tones as a base (white, khaki, black, brown, navy blue, cream, etc) and add a pop of color (purple, yellow, pink, teal, red, etc). Pops of color can be done through accessories (headbands, necklaces, scarves, one or two people wearing a shirt in the color, etc). The idea is to look cohesive, not identical. Examples: blue, white and purple or cream, khaki and coral.
Be sure clothes aren't wrinkled.
Look at the decor in your home. Use colors that compliment your home decor, since you'll most likely be hanging them on a wall(s).
